News came to me that in the recent PKR party election, most of the people from Rafizi’s faction had lost.
This is a clear indication that his ideas (formulas) are no long universally accepted within parti derita.
This puts him at a clear disadvantage to defend his post as the deputy president of PKR later.
So what is he going to do?
Back when I was tricked into supporting Pakatan Harapan, I thought that Rafizi was one of our young leaders that I could rely on to restore Malaysia to our former glory and maybe take us even higher.
But I was wrong.
I remembered when the rumor about potential partnership between Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional was circulating a few years back.
Rafizi said something along the lines of “If this is true, I will be the first one to oppose!”
But not long after he made that statement, photos of PKR and UMNO leaders meeting in a room started circulating, and there he was, sitting together with them in the same room.
I felt betrayed, I am confident most of us who had supported him back then felt the same way too.
Now that his beloved party is also starting to reject him, he should take a step back and reflect.
Maybe he should just admit to being a hypocrite and resign from his minister and PKR’s deputy president posts as a start.
Rethink his approach, belief and stance in politics, and maybe even consider joining us in Perikatan Nasional as a new reformed man.
